Gathering opinions and satisfaction levels is effortless with Rating Scale blocks. These interactive fields allow your users to quickly provide feedback on a scale, making it simple for you to collect measurable insights about products, services, or experiences.

This guide will walk you through setting up rating scales in your Lumo.

What is a Rating Scale Block?

A Rating Scale block is a Field Block that lets users select a value from a predefined range, usually represented by numbers or icons. It's a quick, visual way to collect satisfaction scores or levels of agreement.

Step-by-Step: Adding a Rating Scale Field

Configure Your Rating Scale: Once the Rating block appears, you'll configure its key properties:

Rating Type: Choose how the scale is displayed:

  • Numbered: Displays numbers (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4, 5).
  • Icon: Displays a series of selectable icons.
    • Icon Choice: If you select "Icon," you'll then choose the specific icon (e.g., Star, Heart).

Rating Range: Define the minimum and maximum values for your scale. This determines how many options users can select.

  • Common ranges are 1-5, 1-7, or 1-10.

Saving Your Changes

After configuring your rating scale, ensure you manually save your changes by clicking the "Save" button in the editor.

Important

If you try to exit the editor without saving, LumoPages will prompt you to save your work. This is crucial for retaining all your field configurations.

Rating scales offer a powerful, quantifiable way to gather feedback, making data analysis much easier. They provide a quick and intuitive experience for your users, perfect for collecting satisfaction scores or product reviews.
